Yemen, WB discuss future cooperation

SANA'A, Oct. 05 (Saba) - Yemen and World Bank discussed here on Sunday future cooperation between Yemen and WB in various development aspects, particularly in agriculture and irrigation.

Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Mansur al-Hawshabi held talks with the WB Director in Sana'a Benson Ateng on a strategic vision concerning reinforcing role of the agriculture sector to realize food security and the WB's contribution to financing the development projects in Yemen.

Moreover, the meeting dealt with the next assistance plan that includes providing aid for the projects according to their priorities and support the development requirements and food security in addition to sustain efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation to address the problem of water scarcity in Yemen.
