SANA'A, Oct 05 (Saba) – The Specialized Penal Court started on Sunday the trial of eleven Iranian and a Pakistani sailors arrested over drugs possession and trafficking charges.
At the Sunday's session chaired by judge Radhwan al-Namir with the attendance of prosecution representative Abdullah al-Sharqi the court ordered to bring a translator for the sailors for the next session scheduled for October 19.
The sailors face charges in relation to bringing 560 thousand kilograms of hashish into the Yemeni territorial waters.
In mid February, eleven Iranian and a Pakistani sailors were arrested off Mahara coasts for illegally entering the Yemeni territorial waters as well as possessing drugs quantities.
