IFES expresses satisfaction of parliament election preparations

SANA'A, Sep. 25 (Saba) - The Executive Director of the International Foundation for Election Systems (IFES) Peter Williams has expressed his satisfaction of the technical procedures of the preparations for the phase of reviewing and amending the voter lists.

During his meeting with the Head of Planning and Technical Affairs Sector in the Supreme Commission for Election and Referendum (SCER) Mohammed al-Sayani, Williams affirmed the Foundation's readiness to provide the technical assistance required in the coming stages to ensure the success of all the electoral process in the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled in April 2009.

For his part, al-Sayani briefed the IFES director on the training plan for the phase of reviewing the voter lists which includes training of trainers and basic, supervisory, subsidiary and security committees.
