Yemen, Britain discuss support to 2009 parliamentary elections

SANA'A, Sep. 08 (Saba) - Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs Sector in the General People Congress Sultan al-Barkani and a British official discussed Monday aspects of support may by provided to Yemen to succeed the parliamentary elections to be held in April 2009.

During his meeting with official in charge of Yemeni affairs at UK Foreign Ministry Syan Evans, al-Barkani discussed with her steps taken by the government for holding the 2009 elections.

The meeting also discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation between both countries.
