SAADA, Sep. 07 (Saba)- An extended meeting was held in Saada headed by deputy premier for defense and security affairs Rashad al-Alimi.
The meeting focused on the current situation in the governorate and efforts of settling peace and security as well as phase of rebuilding the governorate.
Al-Alimi said the government have two goals; one to achieve development and rebuilding, and the second goal is to strengthen peace and security.
The development could not be realized without out security, he said.
He described decision of the President Ali Abdullah Saleh to stop war as brave decision, calling members of the parliament and local councils in the governorate to shoulder their responsibility to achieve security and peace.
He said that the ten points mentioned by president as a ground for fulfilling peace in the governorate.
For his part, the minister of education Abdul-Salam al-Jaofi said that the education is the key element of change, pointing out to directives of president Saleh to offer 10,000 chairs and 1,00 blackboards, 15 school labs and qualifying 120 teachers in the governorate.
Minister of Public Works and Roads Amr al-Korshomi said that his ministry has plan to carry out roads project in the governorate at sum of YR 40 billion.
Abdul-Qader Hilal, minister of local administration said that the process of rebuilding would be focused on roads, waters, electricity and telecommunication,
He pointed out to the efforts of returning displaced people to the homes, saying that there are orders to distribute foods to 14,000 cases at a total cost of YR 300 million.
He made it clear that 6,700 affected public and private institutions were registered, pointing out to the allocation of YR 10 billion to rebuild the governorate.
