ADEN, Sep. 07 (Saba)- A source in the Yemeni coastguard said that the forces of coastguard managed to rescue a Saudi trade ship from Somali pirates.
Speaking to Saba, head of marine operations in the coastguards Shojaeddin al-Mahdi said that the coastguard received a rescue call from the Saudi ship and forces went to location of the ship and followed up the pirates.
Boats of the coastguard accompanied the ship until it reached Shaqra region of Shabwa governorate, he said, the ship then continued its trip to Bahrain.
The admiral of the Saudi ship presented thank you letter to the Yemen Coastguard for rescuing the ship and securing navigation roads.
