President performs Juma'a prayer in Assaleh Mosque

SANA'A, Sep. 06 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh along with a number of high ranking officials performed yesterday Juma'ah prayer (Friday prayer) at Assaleh Mosque.

In the Juma'a's two sermons, preacher Naser Asheibani reviewed fasting verses and their implications and importance of the Holly month of Ramadan in which the holly Koran was revealed on Prophet Mohammad Peace be Upon Him and His Kinsmen.

He says that celebration of the holly month of Ramadan is a celebration of Koran revealing on the Prophet and that there is no suffering resulting in fasting for this duty was also imposed on previous nations and it is joint worship.

The preacher talked about the perfect work in the new built mosque and that Assaleh Mosque has become of one of the greatest ones as Cordoba Mosque in Spain, Al-Azhar in Egypt and other famous ones in some Arab countries.

He said that the mosque will become also university (for Islamic teachings and Sharia), thanking the political leadership on its efforts on building mosques and universities as well as helping poor people.

Worth to mention that Assaleh Mosque is the greatest mosque in Yemen and takes years for constructions.
