Yemen to partake in AL 130th round meetings in Cairo

SANA'A, Sep. 04 (Saba) - Representing by Foreign Ministry, Yemen is to take part in the 130th round meetings of the Arab League to be held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, during 6 – 8 September.

Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi told Saba upon his departure on Thursday, that the 130th round would discuss several issues, particularly the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and political developments in Palestine.

He added that discussion of the Palestinian issue aims to create a unified Arab attitude towards the Israeli evasion from its responsibilities to the peace process and continuation of its aggressive practices against the Palestinian people.

Moreover, the meetings will discuss possibility to resume the Palestinian-Palestinian dialogue on the base of the Yemeni initiative that was adopted in the AL Damascus Summit held lat in March, al-Qirbi highlighted.

The meetings will also deal with outcomes of the Arab group assigned to study the hazards and challenges the Arab national security may face, the developments in Iraq, Somali and Sudan in addition to the situation in the international arena, especially after the developments in the Caucasus region.
