Yemen, IDA discuss human rights during elections

SANA'A, Sep. 03 (Saba)- Minister of Human Rights Huda al-Ban discussed on Wednesday with Officer of International Development Agency (IDA) in UK embassy here aspects concerning human rights during the forthcoming 2009 parliamentarian elections.

During the meeting, al-Ban reviewed political leadership's intention in this field via voting right, nomination and enabling all society's sects to participate in the political process, affirming importance of cooperation between the two parts in this field.

For her part, the UK official expressed happiness for human ministry's achievements in the field of human rights, stressing importance of the ministry' existence in donors' activities and meetings which have something to do with human rights.
