Yemen welcomes Australian decision to end wheat export monopoly
[02/September/2008]

SANA'A, Sep. 01 (Saba)- Minister of Industry and Trade Yahya al-Mutawakel welcomed on Monday the Australian government decision to end wheat export's monopoly to Yemen and qualify a number of Yemeni companies to import.

He considered the decision as an opportunity to extend import operation to insure increasing competition and stop monopoly.

The Minister held talks with the General Director of Agricultural Crops in the Australian Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Fishery Rossel Philips on the new measures of marketing and exporting crops adopted by Australian government.
