SANA'A, Aug 30 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah has urged the Joint Meeting Parties, opposition, to work jointly with his ruling party to hold the upcoming parliamentary elections on time without any delay.

The state-run 26sep.net quoted president Saleh as saying the opposition should take part in building nation through accepting the amendments to the election law.

President Saleh said the authorities will release all prisoners except those who are jailed in connection with criminal charges.

President Saleh also called on the opposition to understand the current situation and work hardly to participate in the elections as an effort to promote the principle of peaceful succession of power.
