New electricity station inaugurated in Mahwait

MAHWAIT, Aug. 29 (Saba) – Mahwait governor Ahmed Ali Mohsen inaugurated on Friday an electricity transformation station in Khamis Bani Saad district producing one megawatt of electricity at a cost of YR 80 million.

The station is composed of 11 electric transformers with various capacities and networks of wires to provide the electric service to more than 9000 homes of citizens at the district.

The General Director of the Electricity Department in the province Mohammed al-Mahbashi said that more than 35000 people would benefit from the electricity station.

For his part, governor Mohsen affirmed that other electric projects at a total cost of more than $ 12591190million would provide electricity service to mainly the districts of Bani Saad, Mahwait, Hofash, Khabt, Tawilah, Shibam and Kukaban.
