Yemen, Kuwaiti UCCS sign cooperation minutes

SANA'A, Aug. 27 (Saba)- Minister of Industry and Trade Yahya al-Mutwakil received on Wednesday a medal from the delegation of the Kuwaiti Union of Consumers Cooperative Societies (UCCS) presented by the Union as a gift for President Ali Abdullah Saleh.

Al-Mutwakil and the Kuwaiti delegation head signed a cooperation minutes between the ministry and the Union aims to boost efforts being exerted for the sake of developing trade exchange between the two countries and boost economic partnership, attract the UCCS's investments to set up investment projects in Yemen.

During the meeting al-Mutwakil held talked with chairman of Kuwaiti UCCS Mohammed al-Ansari over results of UCCS talks held with governmental and civil society organizations to strengthen economic ties between the two countries.

The two sides discussed the ministry's efforts to develop consumers cooperative societies and to make use from Kuwaiti UCCS experiences as well as to provide technical support and legislative, organizational and administrative consultations.
