Yemeni-Jordanian FMs review coordination

AMMAN, Aug. 20 (Saba)- Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi received on Wednesday his Jordanian counterpart Salah Bashir on the sidelines of meetings of the Yemeni-Jordanian Joint Higher Committee, currently held in Amman during August 18-20.

During the meeting, they reviewed ties between Yemen and Jordan and viewpoints of the two countries toward the political development at the regional and international level as well as the importance to continue coordination between foreign ministries of Yemen and Jordan.

They also came across Yemeni efforts to heal the rift between Fatah and Hamas movements of Palestine according to the Yemeni initiative after approval in Damascus summit, affirming the importance of reinforcing role of the Arab League in this regard.

The two officials exchanged views with respect to situations in Somalia and Iraq and supporting efforts aimed to settle peace.
