GPC to present list of candidates for SCER

SANA'A, Aug. 08 (Saba)- Well-informed sources said on Friday that the General People Congress party (GPC) is going to present Saturday a list of candidates to fill the office of the Supreme Committee for Elections and Referendum (SCER) to the parliament.

According to the sources, the list of the GPC includes the names of nine eminent persons while the opposition parties are going to present their list of six persons to the parliament.

The parliament will nominate 15 people and then the selected list will be sent to President Ali Abdullah Saleh for approving it and issuing a decree of appointing nine of them as members of the Supreme Committee for Elections and Referendum (SCER).
