WB offers $28 mln to support health, population project

SANA'A, July 20 (Saba)- Minister of Public Health and Population Abdul-Karim Rase discussed here on Sunday with a delegation of World Bank, who is visiting yemen currently, the ongoing preparation for the implementation of health and population project in Yemen funded by WB estimated at $28 million which is to last for six years starting from 2010.

The talks dealt with arrangements regarding support of World Bank for bilharzias fighting campaign in Yemen which is estimated at $20 million for the coming five years.

During the meeting, they discussed the aspects of bilateral cooperation between Yemen and the bank in the area of health and ways of reinforcing them.

The minister praised efforts of World Bank to support health projects in the country.
