Sudanese embassy in Sana'a to organize press conference over ICC decision
[17 July 2008]

SANA'A, July 17(Saba)- The Sudanese Embassy in Sana'a is to organize a press conference on Friday in the Culture Center iover current developments in Sudan and recent decision of the International
Criminal Court (ICC).

Recently, Foreign Ministry of Yemen expressed its disapproval to what media outlets reveal on intention of the ICC Attorney General to issue orders for arresting a number of Sudanese officials, including President Omer al-Bashir, and accusing them with war crimes in Darfur.

President Ali Abdullah Saleh expressed Yemen's solidarity with Sudan over this issue.

Yemen denies such an irresponsible decision, which is considered as intervention in Sudan's internal affairs, president Saleh said.

The decision will not be in favor of peace and stability in the region, however, it will help fuel tensions, president Saleh said.

Saleh said all the Arab and Islamic countries will stand by Sudan to avoid more violence and destabilization in the region.
