Government discusses COTA system

SANA'A, July 08 (Saba)- The government discussed on Tuesday's meeting, headed by Prime Minister Ali Mujawar, the report on reviewing the study of COTA system to allocate seats for women in the elected councils.

The report, presented by Minister of Social and Labor Affairs, was referred to a ministerial committee for revision.

The cabinet affirmed its support to woman and the importance of expending the political participation of women in the elected councils with an average of %15.

It called the political parties to assist the governmental efforts to enhance women situations in the concerned councils and support their role in the political, social and economic life.
