Malaysian delegation acquaints with Yemeni fish experiences

MUKALLA, July 05 (Saba)- A delegation of the Standards and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) headed by Yahia Ahemd got acquainted on Saturday with the process of fishing and preparation of fresh and frozen fish in al-Shaher district.

During their visit, they listened to detailed explanations from province's official over activities of fishing and the standards of maintaining quality which has become a strong competitor of fish products in the markets of European Union countries,Saudi Arabia, the Arabian Gulf, South East Asia and Japan.

For his part, head of the Malaysian delegation praised the standards of quality and preparation of fish, affirming the importance of industrial technology in this process and expressed readiness of Malaysian center to provide technical assistance through training and rehabilitating senior technical group in fish companies.
