Workshop on electric investment funding to be held next Monday

SANA'A, May 17 (Saba)- A workshop for discussing horizons of investment funding for constructing electric generating stations by gas in Yemen would be held in Sana'a next Monday.

Minister of Electricity and Energy's Office Director Abdullah al-Hizyazi told Saba that the two-day workshop, which would be organized by Electric Ministry and General Electric Corporation,
discusses law and contract documents for constructing electric generating stations by gas.

He clarified that the workshop would be participated by a number of specialists in the ministry, the corporation, concerned authorities and representatives of local, Arab and foreign companies who showed willingness to invest in field of electricity and energy.

Earlier, the ministry and International Finance Corporation (IFC) have signed last Tuesday consultative treaty for supporting private and public sectors fro constructing stations for generating electricity by gas in Yemen.

According the treaty, the IFC would supervise measures for conducting the tender concerning setting up gas station for generating electricity in Belhaf.
