OIC agrees on Yemen and Jordon nomination for Assistant Secretary General post

JEDDAH, May 17 (Saba)- Senior Officials of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) agreed on Saturday the nomination of Yemen and Jordan for the post OIC Assistant Secretary General.

Yemen representative to the OIC Mohammad al-Ahwal said that the nomination of Yemen and Jordon to the above mentioned post would be approved in the meeting of the Islamic States Foreign Ministers to be held in Kampala next June.He confirmed that Kampala meeting will approve the nomination of Yemen or Jordon for the Assistant Secretary General post.

He added that the OIC meeting also discussed a number of issues concerning the Arab and Islamic nations on top of them are the latest developments in Palestine and the Lebanese crisis and the
situations in Iraq and Somalia.
