Abdul Ghani to head to Russia

SANA'A, May 15 (Saba) - Chairman of the Shoura Council Abdul Aziz Abdul Ghani is to begin an official visit to Russia on 25-28 May, the weekly 26september said on Thursday.

The visit comes in response to an invitation from the Russian Federation Council head Sergei Mironov.

The two heads will discuss means to promote cooperation between the two countries legislative authorities and several international and regional topics of mutual concern.

Yemen's ambassador to Russia Muhammad al-Hilali had discussed with the First Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia A.I.Denisov aspects of cooperation between Yemen and Russia.

They brought up the results of the last visit of the Yemeni Foreign minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi to Russia and the importance of translating the outcomes of the visit into practice.

The two stressed the importance of continuing visits by officials of the two countries to promote bilateral relations in the interests of the countries people.

Denisov said Russia will continue to support Yemen in various fields.
