SANA'A, May 15 (Saba) – Yemen has become a member in the Executive council of the Arab Civil Aviation Association after it won a majority of voters at the 11th round of the association which was wrapped up in Libya's capital, Tripoli.
Yemen has got 14 votes of 15 of the participating countries.
It has also become a member in the Arab Air Carriers Commission (AACC), the Arab Civil Aviation Commission (ACAC) and the Arab Financial Supervision Commission, head of the Yemeni Aviation and Metrology Authority Hamid Faraj said.
A vote was held for nominating Yemen to be a member in these bodies and it got the most votes, he made clear.
The Arab Civil Aviation Authority is a body affiliated with the Arab League that conducts many programs and activities with the aim to enhance the performance of the Arab civil aviation to compete with international civil aviation.
