SANA'A, May 13 (Saba) – A parliament report has attacked the government for hiring an inexperienced Iranian company of Persian to implement the project of the Marib gas station, the GPC-run almotamar.net has reported.

The report says the Iranian company lacks of necessary technical and management capabilities, adding the project has been stalled for such reasons.

It also criticized the government for not taking legal procedures against the company; nonetheless, the report says, the authorities offers more unjustified concessions.

The report says the government has changed the name of the Siemens Aeriform Factory for producing energy converters to Iran Transfo and that it has modified the implementation programs many times.

The report rebuked the authorities in general for not giving priority for strategic projects and says the ministries of Interior and Electricity and Energy have not provided appropriate protection measures for the project sites.

The parliament and the government are expected to conduct a debate on the results of the field visits at the project aimed to follow up implementation of the first phase of it.

The project has planned for a long time but still unimplemented. It is financed by donors to establish a gas stations with a capacity of 341 megawatt and carrying pipelines for 400 kilovolts.
