Yemen to attend immediate meeting for Arab FMs over Lebanon

SANA'A, May 09 (Saba)- Yemen has accepted to attend an immediate meeting of the council of foreign ministers of the Arab League member countries to discuss current situation in Lebanon.

The meeting was called by Egypt and Saudi Arabia. In his statement to Saba, Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi affirmed concern of Yemen to tackle current developments to avoid sectarian strife in
Lebanon.

Recently president Ali Abdullah Saleh made several phone calls with Arab leaders over the situation to discuss the sad developments in Lebanon during two days ago.

The talks with Arab leaders focused on authorization of Lebanese brigadier Michael Sliman to run the dialogue among all Lebanese factions and maintain security and stability of the nation.
