President Saleh talks with Arab leaders on Lebanese crisis

SANA'A, May 09 (Saba) - President Ali Abdullah Saleh made Thursday evening telephone conversations with a number of Lebanese and Arab leaders in the sake of treating regretful situations which take place in Lebanon and to bring together Lebanese national factions.

President Saleh talked with Egyptian President Husni Mubarak, Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdul-Aziz, Arab League Secretary General Amru Mousa, leader of Lebanese Hasbullah Hassan Nasrallah, Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Barre, Head of the Future Bloc Saad al-Hariri and Lebanese Prime Minister Foud Siniora.

During those conversations, President Saleh held separately discussions with the Lebanese and Arab leaders over the latest developments in Lebanon in the light of regretful clashes took place on Thursday among the opposition and government factions, suggesting means to avoid any internal sedition in Lebanon.

President Saleh called all Lebanese parties to use wisdom and choose dialogue and understanding and avoid violence which would harm Lebanon's security, stability and national unity.
