VP argues election committees to be impartial in governors' elections

SANA'A, April 27 (Saba) - Vice President Abdu Rabu Mansour Hadi argued official in election committees that would elect governors to avoid any kind of nepotism, wither partial or regionalism during the election process to be held on May 14.

"Leaderships of CSOs and all political and social authorities have to carry on shoulders these national responsibilities … away than partial and regional fanaticism," said Hadi in the discussion symposium on partnership future between local authority and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) held here on Sunday.

He indicated that the reflections of this great step (electing governors) would be the right way for combating corruption.

He said that democratic approach is based on there basis, presidential elections, parliamentarian elections and municipality elections and the later does not complete if there is no administrative, economic and social reforms.

For his part, Minister of Local Administration Abdul-Qader Hilal announced finishing preparations for the elections and called on all political forces to participate in establishing this democratic step.

He also announced on starting receiving applications of CSOs for participation in supervising elections.
