VP heads meeting for setting up SCCY

SANA'A, April 23 (Saba) - The Vice President Abduh Raboh Mansor Hadi headed on Wednesday a meeting for establishing the Supreme Committee for Childhood and Youths SCCY.

In the opening session, the vice president viewed importance of the committee to realize the Millennium Development Goals and tackling issues associated with youths and children like unemployment and illiteracy.

He pointed out to the negative results of unemployment among youths as their needs for job might lead them to join terror bodies.

The vice president also affirmed importance of finding out solutions for problems of children and youths, saying that the ministry of interior should build reformatories and psychiatry in accordance with standards that insure respecting human rights and offering good care.

Ministry of Information, Ministry of youths and sports and ministry of culture were authorized in the meeting to draw the logo of the committee.
