SWF national strategy in Lahj province discussed

LAHJ, March 24 (Saba)- The meeting headed by general secretary of local council in Lahj province called on Monday officials of Social Welfare Fund (SWF) and local authority members to implement the national strategy of social welfare fund to alleviate the poverty in lahj province .

During the meeting, he clarified the importance of benefiting from technical assistance in support to social welfare fund (European Union) in head office which contributing to improve living standards of poor.

General Director of SWF branch Fadel Khamis said that meeting aim to discuss ways of offering the individual counseling for beneficiaries who get aid from the social welfare fund by SWF offices in the districts.

For her part, international expert for Training and Qualification in Europe Project Theda Kirchiner clarified that the project would train SWF beneficiary and provides individual counseling of how to benefit from soft loan of SWF, highlighting the important role of local council to develop capacities of SWF beneficiary to improve their living conditions.
