Yemen studies suspend friendship with Danish parliament
[18/February/2008]

SANA'A, Feb 18 (Saba)- Yemen's Parliament strongly condemned on Monday 17 Danish newspapers republished the cartoons abusing the prophet Mohammad (PBUH), discussing means to suspend friendship with Denmark's parliament, the opposition-run alsahwa-yemen.net reported.

In its meeting headed by the Speaker Yahya al- Rae'I, the parliament decided to send several letters to UN, Organization of the Islamic Conference and International Parliaments calling them to take stances against the publication of the cartoons.

A member in the Yemeni-Danish Friendship Committee Mansour Al-Zandani has resigned from the committee and called to cut the Danish goods, asking Ministry of Industry and Trade to take a strong stance to stop export and import the Danish goods.
