SANA'A, Jan. 21 (Saba)- Deputy Speaker of Parliament Yahya Arra'i expressed Yemeni Parliament's resentment over Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip and other occupied territories.
In the meeting that was held on Monday with a delegation of US Congress, Arra'i highlighted the importance of integrating international efforts for combating all kinds of terrorism for it is a pandemic threatening international peace and stability, noting the great damages that affected Yemeni economy as a result of terrorist and criminal acts.
Arra'i discussed with the delegation horizons of future cooperation between Yemen and the United States in parliamentarian field, especially in exchanging expertise and experiences.
He talked about the democratic improvements Yemen is witnessing, affirming Yemen intention to stabilize national democratic approach for realizing its aims that serve interests of the country.
Arra'i clarified to the delegation the electoral mechanism Yemen follows for conducting presidential and parliamentarian elections, pointing out to the role of the
parliament in discussing and approving laws of the unified country and abolishing previous secessionist laws.
The meeting dealt with mechanism of crystallizing the state public budget and mechanisms of discussing and following up the budget.
