Yemen to partake in announcing Damascus Arab cultural capital for 2008

SANA'A, Jan. 15 (Saba) - Yemen will take part in the official announcement of Damascus the cultural capital of the Arab world for 2008 to be held on January 19, the state-run 26sep.net has reported.

The head of the Yemeni participating delegation, Culture Minister Abu Bakr al-Maflahi said that a Yemeni cultural week would be held during the activities of Damascus Arab cultural capital for 2008.

The week would focus on studying the Yemeni-Syrian historical and modern relations through holding lectures and symposiums to introduce the participants to the Yemeni cultural heritage.
