Legal affairs ministry to phrase new law drafts in 2008

SANA'A, Jan. 10 (Saba) - The Ministry of Legal Affairs will attempt to finalize some law drafts in 2008 before referring them to the concerned bodies to end the related constitutional procedures, Minister Rashad al-Rasas said on Thursday.

Al-Rasas made clear to the state-run 26sep.net that the ministry would be also busy with phrasing the constitutional amendment draft based on the president's initiative to improve the political system in the country.

Furthermore, the ministry would contribute to prepare the law draft of the maritime boundary line.

The minister indicated to a republican decree to be issued soon renaming the island of Socotra "Socotra archipelago" as it consists of a group of islands, according to the source.
