Meeting on Yemeni detainees in Guantanamo to be held in Sana'a
[27 December 2007]

SANA'A, Dec. 27 (Saba)- The British Reprieve Organization in collaboration with the Amnesty International and Hood Organization are to organize on 19 January in Sana'a a meeting on the Yemeni detainees jailed in the US-run Guantanamo Bay Prison, the 26september weekly reported on Thursday.

The main purpose of the meeting is to gather official and public efforts as well as the civil society organizations' efforts for demanding the release of the detainees, an international lawyer from the Reprieve organization said.

The meeting will focus on demonstrating the suffering of the detainees in Guantanamo and will seek ways to hurry their return home.
