Quds and Palestine are historical right of the Palestinians, says PS
[17 November 2007]

ISTANBUL, Nov. 17 (Saba)- Parliament Speaker and Deputy Board of Al-Quds International Foundation Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hussein al-Ahmar affirmed Saturday that Quds and Palestine are a historical right of the Palestinian people.

He referred to books of history and antiquities that prove this right, affirming that Quds is a humanitarian, religious, cultural and civil legacy that should not be neglected and the Israeli occupation has no right to cause changes on the historical landmarks of Quds.

Al-Ahmar called upon the International Forum, which is currently held in Istanbul with a participation of over 4000 participants from across the world in which he takes part, that Istanbul Declaration for Quds affirms the right of the Palestinian people of the land, Quds is the capital for Palestine and the right of Palestinian refugees to return to their country.

He urged officials in the Islamic and Arab countries to attach no hope on the so-called 'Peace" as the aggressive side, Israel, is not looking for peace and does not commit to the international resolutions supporting peace process, and there are many evidence of this.

Concluding his speech, Sheikh al-Ahmar called on all Arabs and Muslims and free people to continue to support the Palestinians to regain their rights and get rid of the Israeli occupation.
