WIPO to provide technical support for protecting intellectual

SANA'A, (Saba) - Deputy director-general of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Francis Gurry voiced on Tuesday, during his meeting here with Industry and Trade Minister
Yahya al-Mutawakil, the WIPO's readiness to provide all the technical support the ministry requires for protecting intellectual property.

During the meeting, al-Mutawakil discussed with Gurry aspects of cooperation between the organization and the ministry in addition to the support the WIPO could provide for qualifying the ministry's cadre and setting up infrastructure of the intellectual property systems in the country.

The minister reviewed the government's efforts to provide suitable legislations pertaining to the intellectual property to meet with requirements of the World Trade Organization (WTO), lauding the WIPO's assistance to the country for supporting intellectual property.
