Cabinet approves measures encouraging wheat farming

SANA'A,  (Saba)- In its weakly meeting held on Tuesday, thecabinet approved a group of executive measures presented by Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation concerning wheat farming.

It approved a loan plan to be provided to farmers in fertile areas approximated at YR1 billion as soft loans, as well as allocating YR 100 million to Public Corporation for Agricultural Services for providing production equipment for the agricultural season 2007-2008.

The cabinet also directed activating role of agricultural guidance and boosting role of agricultural researches. It authorized ministries of agricultural and irrigation, finance, industry and commerce and local administration as well as Yemen Economic Corporation to buy corps from framers with encouraging prices to guaranty expanding cereals farming.
