Qatar grants Yemen $600 thousand for higher education
[22 October 2007]

SANA'A, (Saba)- The State of Qatar has granted Yemen $600 thousand as part of its annual financial support for Yemeni students who peruse their higher education abroad.

On this occasion, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Saleh Ba-Surrah held Monday a meeting with ambassador of Qatar Jassim al-Buainain and discussed with him a number of issues out of which are the situations of Yemeni emigrants in Qatar and possibilities of enrolling brilliant Yemeni expats students in Qatar in the national universities.

They also discussed renewing Cultural and Scientific Accord between the two countries and possible Qatari contribution to establishing Sana'a University's national museum for sciences within the framework of the support it pledged in London Donor Conference.
