China intends to raise its assistance to Yemen in (2007-2010)
[22/October/2007]

SANA'A,  (Saba) - The economic and trade advisor at the Chinese embassy in Sana'a asserted on Monday, during his meeting with undersecretary of planning and international cooperation minister Hisham Sharaf, his government intention to increase its grants and soft loans to Yemen over 2007- 2010.

The meeting discussed financing projects in health and education fields and establishing the National Center for Documents through the Chinese assistance offered to the country in addition to raising opportunities for training Yemeni cadres in China in domains of administration, finance and investment that Yemen needs in the coming years.

The two sides agreed on convening a meeting between the two countries' governments early next November to evaluate the achievements that have been made in Yemen and to make arrangements
for holding next round of the Yemeni-Chinese committee to be held in Sana'a in the first quarter of 2008.
