Yemen seeks to better cooperation with WB, IMF

SANA'A,  (Saba)- Yemen takes part in the annual meetings of the World Bank (WB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), kicked off in Washington on Saturday.

Deputy Premier, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi headed Yemeni delegation in the meeting which would discuss a set of issues associated with developing action plan of the two international corporations to meet needs of the member countries.

In a statement to Saba, al-Arhabi said that the meeting is looked at as a chance to exchange viewpoints on means of enhancing work of the two corporations to serve interests of member countries.

It is also an opportunity to discuss horizons of boosting spheres of the cooperation among the participating countries in the meeting, he added, pointing out that he would hold meetings with officials of the two corporations over developing current cooperation between Yemen and the two corporations to enhance support for efforts of the Yemeni government to go ahead with reform agenda.
