Three found dead, volcanic eruptions ongoing on Jabal al-Tair Island

HODEIDAH, (Saba)- A source in the Yemeni Naval Forces in Hodeidah said that three people were found dead and one survivor out of eight missing after a volcanic explosion rocked Jabal al-Tair island on the Red Sea late Sunday.

Abdul-Bari Shamsan told Saba that the survivor is in a good health and he was moved to the Military Hospital in Hodeidah for medical check.

According to Shamsan, almost 47 people have been evacuated, one of them is in a critical situation and others are safe. He said rescue teams are looking for other missing soldiers.

Shamsan said that volcanic eruptions going on all over the island and that lava covers the isle as a whole.
