Socotra Island and historical cities to be included in World

PARIS, (Saba)- Shoura Member Hussein al-Amry discussed on Thursday with UNESCO's general director possible support by the organization for Socotra Island to be included in the List of World Heritage for Natural Protectorates.

They also discussed preparing a study on Yemeni historical cities including Hajareen, Mareb and Thula to be added to the same list.

The two sides also tackled cooperation between the organization and Yemen and aspects of boosting them in different cultural, educational and scientific fields.
