Present Saleh sends letter to Iranian counterpart

TAHRAN, (Saba)- Yemeni ambassador to Tehran has submitted a letter from President Ali Abdullah Saleh to Iranian President Ahmadinejad on mutual relations and the regional and international situations of common interest.

Yemen's ambassador Jamal al-Salal has submitted the letter to Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki.

During a meeting on Sunday, Mottaki talked with al-Salal on means of enhancing and developing cooperation ties between Yemen and Iran to serve the common interests of the two peoples.

Mottaki called for constant expansion of mutual ties between the two countries through the exchange of messages and visits between the Iranian and Yemeni officials to deepen the two-way ties.

He hoped Yemen to go ahead on the way of development and reforms.

For his part, al-Salal described Tehran-Sana'a relations as deeply-rooted and strong, affirming that President Saleh is keen on expanding all-out relations with Iran.
