President Saleh shows keenness on Hamas-Fatah dialogue
[15/September/2007]

SANA'A, (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh has shown in a call conversation with the President of Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas Yemen's keenness on unity of the Palestinian ranks.

In the call conversation, President Saleh affirmed the importance of ending differences between the two Palestinian Hamas and Fatah movements and resuming dialogue based on the Mecca and Cairo agreements to overcome disagreements that threaten the Palestinians' key issue.

While Abbas briefed President Saleh on the current developments in the Palestinian territories, Saleh affirmed Yemen's supporting stands to the Palestinian people's legitimate rights to establish their independent state and its capital Al-Quds, urging the Palestinian ranks to overcome internal disputes that serve only  the enemies of Palestinians, as he said.

President Abbas expressed appreciation for President Saleh's supporting stands to the Palestinian issue and his keenness on the Palestinian national unity.

Also, Abbas and Saleh exchanged congratulations on the holy month of Ramadan.
