SANA'A, (Saba)- Chief Executive Officer of Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) John Danilovich said on Thursday that he would pay a visit to Yemen next October to sign a $21 million grant agreement presented to Yemen by the corporation.
During his phone call with President Ali Abdullah Saleh, Danilovich informed Saleh on the decision of the corporation to grant Yemen $21million to support National Reform Agenda of the country.
The MCC official affirmed concern of the corporation to enhance partnership with Yemen, highlighting achievements done by Yemen in fields of reforms, democracy and women empowerment .
"Yemen's program presented to the corporation was good and the MCC membership would entitle Yemen to annual millions of dollars of the corporation's support."
For his part, President Saleh welcomed visit of the MCC official to Yemen, saying that the delegation would receive all care.
He expressed thanks for the corporation, affirming concern of Yemen to boost ties with the corporation and United States in different fields.
"Yemen is a key partner for the United States in fields of fighting terror and financial economic and judicial reforms as well as women empowerment, human rights and press freedom," he said.
