WHO presents $24 Mln to Yemen

SANA'A,  (Saba)-Health and Population Minister Abdul-Karim Rasa has said that World Health Organization had increased support to Yemen $24 million in the two coming years.

Upon his return from Cairo after participation in the forum Middle East and North Africa to monitor the health policies held 08-10 September, Rasa said that he talked on the sidelines of the Forum
with the regional director of WHO the cooperation between Yemen and the organization, particularly in field of the health insurance program, and WHO's support to campaigns against measles and polio.

Rasa pointed that the Forum left a number of recommendations to serve the health policy, including the health insurance and the primary health care.

Rasa said that that he also met his Egyptian, Lebanese and Eritrean counterparts and discussed with them the mutual relations between Yemen and their countries in terms of health and medicine and means of strengthening and developing them.
