President Saleh exchanges congratulations on Ramadan with Arab, Islamic leaders

SANA'A, (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh sent on Wednesday cables of congratulations on the occasion of coming the Holy Month of Ramadan to leaders of Arab and Islamic countries.

In the cables, President Saleh prayed to God to sustain Islamic nation more health and happiness and prosperity.

Yemen is to start the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan on Thursday along with most fellow Gulf, Arab and Islamic states.

Meanwhile, President Saleh received congratulations on the occasion from Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, Kuwaiti Emir Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jabir al-Sabah, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, Tunisian President Zine el Abidine Ben Ali and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

President Saleh also received congratulations on the same occasion from Lebanese Premier Fuad Siniora.

In the cables, they wished for president Saleh more health and happiness and for Yemeni people and Islamic peoples more progress and prosperity.
