President Saleh receives school football champions
[02/September/2007] SANA'A, (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh received Sunday the young champions of school football team who won the first rank in the third Arab Championship of School Football (ACSF) that Yemen held on August 20-31 with participation of 13 Arab states.

President Saleh praised the team's performance in all matches of the championship and good morals and fit bodies they have.

The players have fitted in real well and this victory encourages which gives Yemen a high reputation among other Arab and world countries encourages us to take more care of youths, said president
Saleh.

The President ordered ministries of education and sports to take care of school sports and encourage this team and prepare it for Gulf 20 Championship to be held in Yemen as well.

The Yemen team won the championship after beating its Iraqi challenger by two goals in the final match which held at the Al-Muraisi International Stadium in Sana'a last Friday evening.
