Yemen, US discuss cooperation in promoting human rights
[13 August 2007] SANA'A, Aug 13 (Saba)- Minister of Human Rights Huda al-Ban held a meeting on Monday with head of the Political and Economic Department at the US embassy in Sana'a over cooperation in field of human rights.

Al-Ban reviewed efforts of the ministry to promote condition of human rights in the country, especially studying national laws to cope with international agreements that have been ratified by the country in field of human rights.

They discussed issues of juveniles and inserting concepts of human rights in school
curricula.

The US diplomat expressed readiness of the embassy to support national policies that aim at enhancing those principles.
