MARRAKECH, July 04 (Saba)- Works of the14th conference of the Arab Towns Organization (ATO), in which Yemen participates with a
delegation from Sana'a Secretariat Capital and its local council, started here on Wednesday.
The conference, which would last until July 6, would discuss views that embody Arab civilization in building towns by modern viewpoints.
Officials from municipal administrations in Arab countries, a number of heads of international town unions and representative of the World Bank participate in the conference. During the conference, a scientific symposium on the Role of Technology in Supporting
Comprehensive Development in Arab Towns would be organized.
The symposium is considered as a station for studying the latest applications in this field and means of implementing it to improve
Arab towns and promoting municipal services. A treaty between the organization and the International Association of French-Speaking
Towns, in addition to a number of treaties due to be signed in the end of the conference.
